Sometimes the simplest recipes pack the biggest punch when it comes to healing power. This Matcha Chia Flax Pudding is one of those easy, make-ahead meals that checks all the boxes: nourishing, hormone-healthy, fiber-filled, and yes — delicious. It’s a perfect breakfast, snack, or even light dessert that’s as functional as it is tasty.

What makes this pudding so powerful? Every ingredient was chosen with breast health and overall wellness in mind:

  • Chia or Basil Seeds: Tiny but mighty, these seeds are loaded with fiber, omega-3 fatty acids, and plant-based protein. They also help regulate digestion and blood sugar balance.

  • Ground Flax Seeds: Rich in lignans, a type of phytoestrogen shown to support breast health, and full of fiber to fuel the gut microbiome.

  • Matcha: Ceremonial grade matcha is packed with catechins, especially EGCG, which has been studied for its anti-inflammatory and cancer-protective properties. Plus, it gives a gentle, focused energy boost.

  • Ceylon Cinnamon: Known as “true cinnamon,” this spice helps balance blood sugar and brings warmth to the blend.

  • Ground Ginger: Anti-inflammatory and supportive of digestion, ginger has also been studied for its potential to inhibit cancer stem cells.

  • Organic Soy Milk: Whole soy products (like soy milk, tofu, and tempeh) provide phytoestrogens that can be protective for breast cancer survivors, contrary to old myths.

  • Maple Syrup or Monk Fruit: A touch of natural sweetness makes this recipe satisfying while keeping it health-forward.

  • Toppings (bee pollen, hemp seeds, berries, pomegranate powder): Add extra antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals while making it look beautiful. Bee pollen, in particular, may even help reduce hot flashes.

Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp chia or basil seeds

  • 2 tbsp ground flax seeds

  • 1 tsp ceremonial grade organic matcha

  • Sprinkle of Ceylon cinnamon

  • Sprinkle of ground dried ginger

  • 3/4 cup organic soy milk

  • 1 tsp–1 tbsp maple syrup (to taste) or monk fruit sweetener

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine chia (or basil) seeds, ground flax seeds, matcha, cinnamon, and ginger. Stir well.

  2. Add soy milk and sweetener of choice. Stir again until everything is well combined.

  3. Let sit in the fridge for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.

  4. Stir before serving and top with bee pollen, pomegranate powder, hemp seeds, and/or fresh berries.

This pudding is as easy as it gets — and it’s endlessly versatile. Double the recipe for meal prep, swap toppings depending on what’s in season, or layer with berries for a parfait-style breakfast.

Food can be medicine, and this little jar is proof that healing can also be delicious.
